Punch Graft

In the simple terms, Punch grafting is a procedure in which deeper scars  can be filled with a matching skin grafted from other part of the body,usually taken from behind the ear.
It may take five to seven days as the graft heals and before the bandages may be removed. 

 Local anesthetic will be given. Removal is quick and even the placing of the graft does not take long.

 Grafts aren’t always cosmetically pleasing because the grafted skin may not match the surrounding skin’s color or texture but skin grafts can greatly restore function to a severely scarred area.

Punch grafting can be followed by laser resurfacing one month later to achieve the smoothest result.

Punch Grafts are Effective in Correcting Pitted Acne Scars.It is not so effective on large areas of scarring.
