I have some mild scarring from cystic acne. There are any treatments that are actually effective that would be something topical or would you have to actually get some form of treatment done?
I tried the chemical peel and it did not work at all!!!! all it did was peel some skin and make my skin tones uneven so...i don't recommend it!!!

Mederma works great on acne scars as it is the number one physician and pharmacist-recommended product to treat scars. It has an irritant-free fragrance that's safe for all skin types, including sensitive skin. You should gently massage Mederma® into the scar three or four times per day for eight weeks on new scars and three to six months on existing scars and stretch marks. Check out their website at www.mederma.com for more information and a discount coupon.

I suggest you chemical Peel for mild acne scars. In the simplest terms an acide solutions is painted on your face. This procedure remove the outermost skin layers to revealing the newer, unaffected skin. Alphahydroxy acids (AHAs), such as glycolic, lactic, or fruit acids are the mildest of the peel formulas and produce light peels. These types of peels can provide smoother, brighter-looking skin for people who can't spare the time to recover from a phenol or TCA peel. AHA peels may be used to treat uneven pigmentation and acne.Superficial peels result in mild facial redness and occasional swelling which usually resolve within 48 hours. The peeling is similar to suburn. Most people can continue their normal activities. Make-up can be applied a few hours after the procedure.
