Mineral foundation is ideal for concealing blemishes, brown or red spots, scars, small pimples and even Rosacea.
The technique in "How to Apply Mineral Makeup" is always the same.Always be sure to apply your Minerals to freshly cleansed & moisturized skin for best results.Use a mild cleanser appropriate for your skin and cleanse your face thoroughly to remove all the impurities and oils that have accumulated during the night.
I suggest you to clean and moisturize your face at least five minutes prior to applying foundation. This will help the powder go on smoothly instead of lying on top of fine lines, accentuating them.
It is very important that you use good brushes to apply your mineral makeup. This can affect application and if your brushes are old or not well made, your makeup might not look as great as it could! Kabuki brushes and full powder brushes are wonderful for applying your makeup. You can also use a sponge to apply your makeup. Using a damp sponge can help reduce the appearance of large pores.
Swirl your Kabuki Brush in the powder using firm pressure, changing directions frequently to evenly distribute the powder onto the surface.
Tap the handle against the lid to remove excess powder. The key is to start by using a very small amount of mineral and applying in very sheer layers until you reach the desired coverage. It is much easier to add layers than to take them off.
Brush onto the skin in a swirling, circular motion, starting on the outside of your face near your cheekbones. Then, buff around the remainder of the face, working your way to the cheeks, forehead, and nose. Buff until you're satisfied with the coverage.
Cleaning your makeup brushes is easy.
1. Shampoo your brush by gently lathering in a small amount of your favorite shampoo with your fingers.
2. Rinse your brush thoroughly under running water.
3. Repeat the process until there is no visible makeup in the brush and the water runs clear.
4. Dry your brush by running the bristles across a clean dry towel in a uniform direction. This will help bring the brush back to its proper shape.
Then lay your brush out on the towel overnight to dry.
IF YOU HAVE SOME MAJOR AREAS THAT NEED CONCEALED YOU CAN NOW MIX ALITTLE MOISTUIIZER AND FOUNDATION AND OR CONCEALOR IN TOGETHER TO FORM A PASTE, THEN DAB ON AREAS THAT NEED EXTRA COVERAGE.
Remember: Mineral Makeup is highly pigmented and very concentrated, less is more and a little goes a long way!
