Foods that cause Acne
by Brenda
There is no good or bad food for acne; simply, if your body is not able to correctly assimilate the energy from a specific food, this is not good for you.
Only the "Elimination Diet" can help you to understand what foods work armoniously with your body, and what foods cause acne.
So, acne sufferes, should test for themselves if they get more spots from eating a particular food.
If your skin reacts when you consume a specific food, by eliminating it, you can reduce acne.
Istructions for the "Elimination Diet":
- Write down all the foods and beverages that you generally consume in a given week.
- You simply begin by eliminating some foods.
If after two or three weeks your acne goes away, systematically add foods back in, one every couple of days.
If food is definitely implicated by the return of symptoms, eliminate it from your diet for at last three months.
If there is a food that you already know afects you with an immediate or delayed reaction, avoid it.
If you consume soft drinks, white bread, wheat germ, I suggest you to consum them with moderation, since these foods typically irritate the digestive system of many people.
Remember: the sole purpose od this diet is to learn if some foods cause acne.
Personally, I eat something like chocolate, milk/dairy products or anything that has oil in it like chips; my acne gets worse the morning after eating those foods. So I completely avoid those foods now.
My diet definitely affects my skin.
I have notice these things also always trigger my acne:
- Orange juice
-Milk
- Fast food(a cheeseburger fromMacdonalds)
- Pizza
Does this work? It worked for me, it worked for my girlfriend, and it worked for people we have shared this with. It's been 15 weeks now, and I have had only some occasional small pimple.
But everyone is different and only the "Elimination diet" can really help to understand what foods can cause acne.
