Differin for acne and to prevent acne scars?

This product comes in two formulations: gel and cream.

- Differin® Gel, 0.3% is an odor-less, oil and alcohol-free topical treatment that helps normalize the accumulation of skin cells that plug pores-so it can only help prevent new acne lesions from forming but helps clear those already around. If your acne is more severe-ask your doctor or dermatologist about Differin® Gel, 0.3% and experience stronger and fast for yourself!

-Differin® Gel, 0.1% is a clear gel that is odorless, oil-free and alcohol-free. It is is applied directly to the face or affected area, and is thought to work deep inside your pores to control the cause of the buildup that leads to the formation of acne.

Differin Gel, 0.1% helps normalize the improper accumulation of skin cells that plug the pores, and helps keep them clear. Your pores begin to function normally again. So not only does Diff. Gel, 0.1% help to prevent the formation of new acne lesions, it can also help get rid of the lesions that are already present.

Since Differin Gel, 0.1% is only available by prescription, you should visit a dermatologist or other physician.

- Differin® Cream, 0.1% is specifically created for patients that need the power of Differin® in a product that is easier for their skin to tolerate. It is an elegant cream designed for patients with more sensitive skin. It absorbs quickly and easily, and its emollient cream vehicle enables early initiation of strong, effective retinoid therapy.

Clinical studies have shown Differin® to be more effective than Retin-A and less irritating.

Don't use this product:

-With other anti-acne products containing Retinoid, retinoic acid, trinitoin or Vitamin A such as Retin-A, Retinol, Renova.

-With any skin products containing sulfur, resorcinol or salicylic acid.

-With any abrasive or medicated soaps, astringents, alcohol, lime, or witch-hazel products, or any products than can be drying or irritating to the skin.

- With products containing alpha hydroxy, hydroxy or glycolic acid containing products.

-With any peeling agents, glycolic peels, chemical peels or laser peels.

- With benzoyl peroxide, Skinoren or Azelex as they may be drying or irritating.

WARNINGS: Use of DIFFERIN Gel should be discontinued if hypersensitivity to any of the ingredients is noted.

Differin will not remove deep scars, but it will improve existing scars and prevent new ones as a result of rapid cell turnover.
