Adult oily skin

I`m 44 years old and within the last year, my skin has become oily, having to blot frequently, and with a few breakouts. I`ve never had oily skin even with living in the south, not even as a teenager, never had to blot, never really had to worry too much about my skin. But now, I just don`t know what has happened for my skin to become oily.
