Adult Acne: my big problem.

by Ilary
(Colorado)

I am a 29 years old female and still get acne. My acne through my adolescent years was truly bad.

I did long term antibiotics and a lot of different topicals. They work but long term antibiotics make me sick to my stomach.
And, within months of coming off it the acne came back.

Then went on Diane. This oral contraceptive pill control my breakouts, but at age 26 i chose to go off the pill and my skin has just gotten worse and worse.

Now i don't want to take any more long term medication that can only harm my body.It is soo discouraging!

I've read a lot about supplements like Evening Primrose Oil and cold liver oil.
Particulary, Cod liver oil has been show to ameliorate my acne.

I have also began using B5 to try and further reduce oiliness. At present i take three grams every days. I have decidedly seen a decrement in oil.

Well, my skin is much better.

So anyway, that's my story.

This board helps me recognise I am not the only one that thinks acne is a big problem.

I am 38 years old and never suffered from acne as a adolescent, but now I find spots on my neck, face and chin . I was taking Diane pill but if i stop the spots are still erupting.
