Acne Scrub

This page is dedicated to Acne Scrub.

There are products that physically scrub the skin cells off. Scrubs can help beautify blackhead and acne-prone skin. Exfoliating is an important process to promote a youthful complexion.
Scrubs are formulated with granular components, such as ground walnut shells, ground almonds, or oatmeal, which is the gentlest on skin. Sometimes scrubs combine abrasive qualities from these granules with plant-based exfoliant.

Enzyme peels and gommages are better for those with oily skin or acne. The skin cells on oily skin tend to be more gluey and stick together easily, clogging the pores.
A scrub should never hurt or feel abrasive. It should feel invigorating. Your goal is to cleanse and refine skin texture and encourage new cell growth, not grind off a layer of skin! In addition, you must avoid damaging delicate areas of the face, such as the skin surrounding the eyes.
Scrub with your fingers or a washcloth. There are some facial brushes for this too, if you can find one in the cosmetic section of many stores. These brushes are very soft.

Oily skin should be exfoliated twice a week with a fine-grain scrub. Use circular movements on the face to help clear the excess oil and reduce the risk of blemishes by boosting the immunity of the skin and helping it fight bacteria. Do not use on severe acne, and always avoid harsh scrubbing that could open up blemishes and spread bacteria.
A person who has oily skin and lives in a place where it's hot or humid will most probably find their skin is even more oily. Using harsh soaps, or making excessive use of astringents or scrubs can make oily skin worse.

Oily skin generally reacts well to a mask made of two or three tablespoons of yeast dissolved in water to make a paste. For best results, be sure face is clean and dry before starting an exfoliating scrub massage.

If you are looking for a product ready to apply, I suggest you Clearasil Ultra Rapid Action Scrub for Acne

Wet face. Dispense product into hands and massage gently onto face and neck, avoiding the delicate eye area. Rinse thoroughly with warm water and pat dry. For best results, use twice daily.
The reason why I like this scrub is that the scrub is very soft and after a few days my horrible red and black points start to dissapear. I really recommend this product to prevent acne and scars.
