You will need a series of treatments, combined with topical and perhaps oral therapies.

Clinical comparisons between laser and peel were not performed. Further studies are needed to clarify the merits of the two treatments when compared with each other.
However, several recent studies report effectiveness of photodynamic therapy in the treatment of acne.
