Finding a good acne blemish treatment can be difficult considering the number of products and promises on the market, however there are products that can help reduce the discoloration of acne blemishes. If you have acne-prone skin you can control blemishes by washing your face morning and night with a mild cleanser that contains benzoyl peroxide or salicyclic and glycolic acids.

Cosmetics do not actual treat the blemish, it simply hides the problem. Powder can be used to increase the coverage of oil-free foundations in acne dark areas. Foundation is dabbed onto the acne lesions with the fingertips and allowed to dry.
