Acne NLite laser treatment?

Acne NLite laser treatment helps to initiate an enhanced 'healing' response by stimulating increased collagen production in the skin. It reduces active acne lesions and can improve superficial acne scarring. This laser was introduced as a collagen building laser for reducing skin aging but also it has a beneficial effect on acne and acne scarring.

There are a number of acne sufferer who were actually controlling their acne by using acne laser NLite treatment.

The results of controlled clinical trial, published in the Lancet medica journal, showed that, over a twelve period, the number of active lesions dropped dramatically.

N-lite is a yellow light laser which interacts with porphoryn, a naturally occurring substance in the skin to create a reaction which releases oxygen, which kills the bacteria present in acne.

In addition to this, N-Lite stimulates collagen production by cells in the skin called fibroblasts. The collagen speed the healing process, causing the spot to disappear and decreasing the risk of acne scars. This process also have a positive effect on pre-existing acne scarring.

Almost 50% acne was diminished in the patients because it really kills the bacteria that once was present in your skin. These bacteria are those who are to be blamed for the infections you had that led to the development of blemishes in your skin.

This treatment can take up to 30 minutes and the majority of patients experience a momentary warming of the skin as the laser is applied to the treated area.

A single treatment can be sufficient for mild to moderate acne but maintenance treatments may be required.

For severe acne, more frequent treatment is recommended.

Results are normally seen in two (2) weeks with continuing improvement over the following three months.

N-lite laser uses yellow light, which is in the safe end of the light spectrum; usually, no side effects occur at all.

Small dark red/purple spots called purpura can appear, but these resolve within a few days.
